We’re excited to share that St Neots Town Council has been awarded a “Biodiversity for All” grant from Huntingdonshire District Council to transform St Neots Old Cemetery into an even greener, more wildlife-friendly space. We’ll be planting hedges and shrubs, introducing beautiful wildflowers, and maintaining wild grass areas to encourage local wildlife like birds, bees, and butterflies.

Cllr Sam Smith (Deputy Chair of the Environment and Emergency Committee) said: “In St Neots, as elsewhere, every effort to enhance biodiversity helps to nurture a healthier, more vibrant environment for generations to come. The planned work in the Old Cemetery breathes new life into an area that represents a part of our Town’s heritage. By fostering diverse ecosystems here, we can honour the past while ensuring a sustainable future for our community”.

We can’t wait to see this space thrive with even more nature and beauty! Stay tuned for updates as we start work on February 18th and watch this space blossom.
