The Mayor’s Charities
Each year the Mayor chooses charities and organisations to support during their term in office.
Mayor of St Neots, Cllr Richard Slade – “Under the theme of culture this mayoral year I am delighted to announce that I have chosen to support Peppercorns Academy, Pocket Productions Riverside Theatre Company, The St Neots Players, VAMPS of St Neots and will be fundraising to support these amazing groups.
Many of these groups rehearse or perform at The Priory Centre, so whilst the site is closed for redevelopment, it’s essential we support the arts. We have a rich theatrical history in St Neots going back a century and I’m keen we keep it that way”
What have we raised so far?
So far your donations have raised over £6,000 through the annual St Neots Dragonboat Festival and Mayor’s Charity Golf Day, as well as the Mayor’s Teddy Bear Picnic and Crazy Bingo night.
What’s next?
In May 2025 I shall attempt a three-day cycle from St Neots to St Neot, a total of 453km. I have contacted the Parish of St Neot In Cornwall and they are keen to support me on this epic journey.

100% of the money you donate will be split between my chosen charities. I will cover any fundraising fees from Just Giving out of my own pocket.
